Julian Tuna; writer, director, fish.
Growing up in the bottom-right corner of Australia, he photographed his early life on a goat farm. A little odd, visually beautiful with an unassuming human insight. Julian represents a fresh type of narrative in the new Australian landscape; across commercial, music video and narrative.
His films, including Widowers (Palm Springs, Vancouver, Flickerfest +) have screened at festivals internationally, as well as features on Nowness, Rolling Stone, The Shiny List and many more.
He is developing a handful of longform projects:
A survival piece about teenagers living off the grid, the great Australian euthanasia family film, and a film about a missing arm.
Julian is based in Naarm and his mum is very proud of him.
